Swirls live in the top fraction of a mil. Every polishing pass removes a little clear coat, and it never grows back. That is why we start with the least aggressive method.

Most of the gloss you see is in the top layer of your paint, and so are the swirls. Fixing them means removing some of that layer.

Plenty of shops grab the heaviest compound for every car. It is fast, and it spends clear coat you cannot get back. We work the other way: the gentlest pad and polish that will do the job, stepping up only where the paint needs it.

It is also why owners bring us paint that was polished wrong somewhere else. Buffer trails, holograms and haze from improper machine polishing are a regular part of our correction work.
